With over ten years of experience building private mental health practices, medical billing, and insurance panel credentialing, Melody has recently moved into the role of CEO and owner of Growth & Recovery Counseling. She is committed to creating a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for our clients and providing a solid practice home for highly talented and ethical psychotherapists who are passionate about their work.

Joy Davis, LCSW   Practice Consultant

A clinician in the field for more than 30 years, Joy was the founder of the Growth & Recovery Counseling Center in Trinity. She has recently retired from her psychotherapy practice and now serves as a consultant for the practice.  Joy periodically offers short term group therapies for adults.

Sasha Bartunek, LMHC  Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Trauma Specialist

Known for her warmth, caring, and passion for her work, Sasha has immediate openings for children (ages 5+), teens, and adults with mood or personality disorders, trauma histories, parent/child interaction & relationship challenges, grief, divorce recovery, post-partum depression/anxiety and more.  Sasha is well-versed in a variety of approaches to include CBT, DBT, Solution-focused, ACT, play therapy, and expressive therapies.   She is also EMDR-certified and offers this service for all ages.

In addition, Sasha is a Qualified Supervisor for mental health counselors working toward licensure.

Serving individuals, couples, and families, she currently sees clients on a private pay basis only.

Linda Berkowitz, LMHC  Licensed Mental Health Counselor

A well-seasoned psychotherapist with more than four decades of expertise, Linda treats children, teens, and adults addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, parenting challenges, domestic violence, Bipolar and Personality disorders. Linda is also an accomplished play therapy specialist and a member of the Tampa Bay Psychoanalytic Society. 

She is available to see individuals, couples, and families on Tuesdays for afternoon appointments.  Linda accepts Aetna, Cigna (Evernorth), Humana, Magellan, Optum/United Healthcare and Tricare Select insurances as well as private pay arrangements.


Richard Ehrhardt, LMHC  Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Down-to-earth and with a respectful sense of humor, Rich skillfully works with teens & adults in individual and family therapy. His specialty areas include: addictions, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, relationship concerns, and general men’s issues (such as grieving a divorce, working on communication skills, or coping with intense job demands.) 

With 14 years of his own sobriety, Rich has “been there” with the recovery process and is able to uniquely support clients from this place of humility and profound compassion.

Available for day and early evening appointments, Rich is currently accepting private pay arrangements only.


Robert Evanko, PhD, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor

Dr. Rob Evanko works individually with teens (14+) & adults, couples & families. Having served the Tampa Bay area for more than three decades, Rob’s main priority as a counselor is to find compassionate & creative ways to connect with each individual family member—giving special attention to personal interest areas/strengths, unique personalities, experiences & family backgrounds.  Rob's areas of specialization include: fractured relationships, depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief, anger, life transitions, and divorce recovery.  He also incorporates a Christian-faith based approach whenever requested.

Rob is a qualified supervisor available for registered interns working toward Florida state licensure.

Currently, he sees clients on Saturdays only and accepts Aetna, Cigna (Evernorth), Humana, Tricare East insurances, and private pay arrangements. 


Jessica Judd, MS, NCC, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, Nat. Certified Counselor

Jessica offers individual & group therapy for teens and adults with a primary specialty in maternal mental health, for example: prenatal and postnatal issues, difficulty conceiving, miscarriage, single moms, new moms, and young moms.  Additional specialties include: sexual trauma, complex PTSD, depression & Bipolar disorders, anxiety/panic, narcissistic abuse, low self-esteem and general women's issues. LGBTQIA+ affirming.

While Jessica pulls from a variety of treatment approaches she is quick to explain that above all, she is "person-centered," meeting each client where they are instead of applying any "cookie cutter" set of interventions. She is known by clients as empathetic, optimistic yet realistic, relatable, and easy going. 

Jessica has immediate availability. As a pre-licensed professional, she offers discounted private pay rates only.

Mia Mikesell, MS   Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Mia is available to see women ages 15 through older adults both individually & in couples therapy. Her areas of specialty include grief/loss, anxiety, stress resilience, self esteem, and relationships. Mia also helps clients navigate challenging life transitions such as changing jobs/careers, caregiving aging parents, or adjusting to having adult children. 

Mia has worked in mental health & human services in a variety of settings to include bereavement camps, mentorship programs, and outpatient treatment. She is certified as a Prepare Enrich Premarital Counselor and offers a Christian counseling approach when requested. 

As a registered intern, Mia offers reduced private-pay rates only. Both day & evening appointments available Wednesdays - Fridays.


Ashley Parson, MSW   Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern

 Ashley offers individual therapy for clients 16+ addressing anxiety, depression, codependency, family conflict, self-esteem, stress resilience, anger, ADHD, and Autism. Using compassionate, empowering, and evidence-based approaches, Ashley incorporates varied modalities designed to meet the unique goals of her clients.  Ashely is also an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist.

As a pre-licensed professional, Ashley offers discounted private pay rates only and has both day & evening availability.


Alison Preloznik, Certified Master Hypnotist, Licensed Massage Therapist

Hypnotherapy addresses the subconscious processes of the mind and body which research has shown effective in treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, panic, and trauma. Alison offers individual hypnotherapy sessions that may include a combination of desensitization practices, guided imagery, somatic and hypnotic modalities, and stress relief practices. (Some conditions require medical referral)

Alison is a current member of the American Hypnosis Association and the Hypnotherapists Union Local 472 AFL-CIO with a certification ID #64807528.

Alison also offers 60- and 90-minute relaxation massage therapy sessions with a special emphasis on healing of trauma and complex PTSD. License #43146

Available weekdays, evenings, Saturdays & Sundays, Alison sees clients on a private pay basis only.


Nicole Williams, LCSW  Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Nikki's clinical focus is collaborating with children (ages 7+), teens, and adults addressing anxiety, OCD, ADHD, low self-esteem, relationships, and major life transitions. As a college athlete herself and later experience private coaching, she also has a special heart for helping student athletes with mental health struggles.

Nikki utilizes a “person-centered” approach, bringing empathy and warmth to each session, along with respectful humor. She uses a blend of many different theoretical approaches such as, but not limited to, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Therapeutic Art and Play, and Mindfulness.

Available for day and late afternoon appointments with immediate openings. Currently private pay only.

Jennifer Bargerhuff, MA
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Treating ages 14 and up, Jennifer specializes in anxiety/depression, self-esteem, life changes, divorce recoveryrelationships, emotional eating, grief, spiritual growth, and general women's mental wellness.  She incorporates CBT, Solution-focused, and attachment therapy approaches into individual sessions. 

With her undergraduate degree from Trinity College of Florida and graduate degree from Liberty University, Jennifer also offers a Christian faith-based approach when requested.

Both day and evening appointments are available. As a registered intern, she offers reduced fee private pay arrangements only.

Andrea Dolgin, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Andrea offers individual therapy for adolescents and adults addressing eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, post-partum issues and relationship struggles. Prior to receiving her MSW, she was a practicing attorney and served as a volunteer sexual assault victim advocate at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. Throughout her masters training, Andrea was a clinical student intern at Growth & Recovery and has been with us ever since.

Day, evening, and Saturday availability. Andrea sees clients on a private pay basis only. 

Brooke James, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Trauma Specialist

Brooke specializes in helping adult clients resolve painful reactions to traumatic event(s). Her techniques include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), PE (Prolonged Exposure Therapy) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, often resulting in substantial relief in under 12 sessions. She has extensive experience working with veterans, receiving numerous awards for her service to this population. Brooke finds these methods also helpful for anyone who feels "stuck" or "unable to get past" a disturbing life event, or for those whose self-esteem has been deeply damaged from specific past experiences. If desired, Brooke will incorporate a Christian faith-based approach to help clients reach their individual and spiritual goals.

Evening hours are available by appointment. Brooke sees clients on a self-pay basis only.

Jessica Gagliardo, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Trauma Specialist

Jessica specializes in helping individuals ages 18 - 65 address trauma and trauma-related issues. She frequently works with both men and women who have experienced sexual assault or abuse, as well as those who have been victims of violent crimes.  Jessica also regularly works with veterans who have served in combat and has extensive experience treating individuals with PTSD.  Her main treatment modality is Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), which is highly effective at helping people heal from traumatic experiences.  Jessica is an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and is available for Friday evening appointments.

Jessica accepts Cigna, Humana, Optum/United Healthcare, and self pay arrangements. 

Nicole Guincho, LMHC, CAP

Nicole has been in the mental health field for more than 20 years. In addition to seeing private clients at Growth & Recovery, she is also the Regional Director of Behavioral Health at a local non-profit agency. Nicole specializes in the treatment of clients age 15+ who struggle with addiction, grief, trauma, depression, and/or issues with anxiety. She combines both cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapies to help clients improve their ability to manage difficult life stresses. Nicole is also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.)  

Available Tuesday evenings, Nicole sees clients on a self-pay basis only.

Mario Morano, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Mario has worked in community mental health and inpatient substance abuse treatment centers for more than a decade. In his private practice, he specializes in working with teens and adults who struggle with anger, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, family relationships, technology addiction, issues related to working in the healthcare & mental health fields, and traumatic life events. Mario is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.), an approach that can decrease and even resolve PTSD symptoms in as few as 1 - 2 sessions. Mario is also a qualified supervisor for registered interns working toward Florida licensure.

Available for evening appointments, Mario sees clients on a self-pay basis only. 

Christine Pringle, LMHC, MCAP

Christine has worked in a variety of treatment settings and levels of care in the mental health & substance abuse field. In her private practice, Christine serves adolescents (age 15+) and adults, couples, families, and groups in the following areas: addictive behaviors & substance abuse, self-esteem, parent/child and partner relational problems, mood disorders, continuity of care & step-down stabilization, anxiety, anger, grief, trauma, and general stress management. Christine is also a Qualified Supervisor for mental health counselors working toward licensure.

Christine is eclectic in her approach and uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, Mindfulness, and Psycho-education tools. She also likes to utilize humor, as laughter at times can be the best therapy! Christine also enjoys exploring with her clients about how mind, spirit, and body are interconnected. 

Available evenings, Christine accepts Aetna, Cigna (Evernorth), United Healthcare/Optum, and offers reduced self-pay rates.


 Brenna Squires, PsyD
 Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Squires is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who exclusively conducts psychological assessments for the purposes of guiding medication and therapeutic practices, IQ testing, and for surgery clearance (e.g. bariatric and spinal evaluations.)  Some areas that might be evaluated include mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, autism, comprehension, and posttraumatic stress.  Children, teens, and adults.

Mary Ann Zigouris, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

For more than 20 years, Mary Ann has been providing individual and couples psychotherapy for older adolescents and adults. Initially from NY where she obtained both her undergraduate and masters degrees, Mary Ann has experience working in out-patient settings, medical offices, and child development centers.

Her areas of specialty include: women's issues, depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, relationship repair, and emotional eating. Mary Ann has additional training in providing EMDR for trauma survivors. Clients describe Mary Ann as compassionate, concerned & engaged, and especially helpful in offering alternative ideas to help them reach their goals. 

Mary Ann accepts Cigna, Medicare, Optum/United Healthcare & sees clients on a self pay basis. Office hours on Saturdays.
