About Tammy

Tammy has been in the therapy field for thirty years, with a background in community counseling, university teaching, and private practice.

Her greatest passion is helping couples improve their relationships with a strong emphasis on addressing communication skills and conflict management. She currently holds Gottman Method Certification in levels 1 & 2. Common issues that bring couples in to see Tammy might include: a recent affair, difficulties resolving issues, frequent misunderstandings, or feeling disconnected.

Her work with families incorporates members of all ages. Here, in addition to the above, Tammy specializes in helping parents communicate & work together as more effective parenting partners.

For individual counseling (ages 10+) Tammy pulls primarily from CBT and DBT in treating anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. She is also trained in and offers EMDR for her trauma clients.

Tammy holds two master’s degrees (an MA in Educational and Counseling Psychology, and an MA in Marriage & Family Therapy) as well as her doctorate in General Psychology.

Currently accepting new clients on a private pay basis only. Tammy has both day and evening appointments available.

Our office is conveniently located in Hunting Creek Pointe office park, just a half-mile from the Little Road/Hwy. 54 intersection in Trinity and within 10 miles of Odessa, New Port Richey, Port Richey, Palm Harbor, East Lake, Tarpon Springs, Bayonet Point, and Hudson.
