With 14 years of his own sobriety, Rich is passionate about helping others face their own challenges, heartaches, and addictions.

Clients describe Rich as genuine, caring and “easy to talk to.” He is not someone to judge or believe there is only one “right way” to do recovery.

His areas of specialty include: addictions (substances, spending, love, etc.), depression, anxiety, social anxiety, codependency, and relationship concerns. He also helps men who might be grieving a divorce, miscommunicating with their partners, seeking a better connection with their kids, struggling with career pressures, and more. LGBTQ+ affirming.

Extensively trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Rich also incorporates solution-focused, motivational interviewing, client-centered, and mindfulness-based interventions into his sessions with clients.

Rich has a BA in Psychology from USF and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. Prior to joining Growth & Recovery, his experiences in the field have included working in outpatient behavioral health, a residential/IOP treatment program for substance abuse, juvenile detention, and insurance utilization management.

Morning through early evening appointments are available. Currently Rich accepts self pay arrangements, Tricare Select, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare insurance only.
