A clinician in the field for more than 30 years, Joy is the founder of the Growth & Recovery Counseling Center in Trinity.  Joy has recently retired from her psychotherapy practice and now exclusively handles administrative duties at our office.

Taylor Barchowski, MA
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, PENDING

Taylor works with children ages 6 through young adults, with a special love for teens. She works both individually with clients and collaboratively with parents.  Taylor specializes in  anxiety/depression, interpersonal trauma, divorce recovery, grief, self-criticism, and difficulties with life changes and transitions.  Her approach is warm, holistic, and relational.  She pulls from a variety of treatment techniques which includes CBT, ACT, Play-therapy, Somatic therapy, and Strength-based approaches, tailoring the treatment plan to meet each client’s unique needs.  Taylor is also a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT-200) and can integrate yoga practices into sessions if requested.  Available 3 days/week. Jennifer Bargerhuff
Masters Program Clinical Student Intern

Jennifer joins us for her mental health counseling student internship through December 2021. Offering individual and family therapy for those struggling with depression, anxiety, low self esteem, codependency, relationship challenges, loss, and more.  Jennifer utilizes a cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused approach in her sessions.  She also offers a Christian counseling focus when requested. Supervised by Emilie Ellenberg, LMHC. Larry Baumgartner, LMFT

Larry specializes in and offers hope to couples working through infidelity/affairs, communication and relationship issues.  As a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, he helps couples reconnect, rebuild, and restore their relationship to where they want it to be.

Larry also sees adults dealing with depression, anxiety, job stress, and life transitions.  He is also known across Tampa Bay as the go-to therapist for professionals.

Jackie Breuer, LMFT

Jackie has worked in the mental health field for more than 20 years providing individual, family, and couples counseling. She has a special heart for working with women who struggle with low self-esteem, depression/anxiety, and codependency issues. Jackie also helps couples build stronger relationships, reduce family conflict, and adjust to difficult life transitions together. She also offers EMDR, a specialized intervention for trauma survivors.

Bruce "BJ" Develle, LCSW

Available evenings and weekends, BJ Develle especially enjoys helping parents with teens both through parenting skills support and couple/relationship preservation tools. He also has extensive experience working with the chronically ill and their caregivers. Additional areas of specialty include: men's issues, depression/anxiety, stress management, and grief/loss.

Specializing in ages 6 through young adulthood, Nicole offers individual, family and couples therapies. She incorporates CBT and DBT interventions and a Christian-faith based approach when requested.  Those struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, trauma, Borderline Personality, and self harm will find both comfort and challenge for growth in her earnest, caring style. Prior to receiving her Master of Social Work degree, she was a practicing attorney and served as a volunteer sexual assault victim advocate at the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay.  Throughout her masters training, Andrea was a clinical student intern at Growth & Recovery.

Donna Donati-Waddell, PsyD
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Waddell specializes in working with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, caregiver stress, chronic pain & medical issues that affect emotional health, infertility, relationship challenges, and general senior population concerns.  She has extensive background experience working in medical psychiatric offices, nursing homes, and legal settings.

Brooke Eggimann, LCSW

Brooke specializes in helping adult clients resolve painful reactions to traumatic event(s).  Her techniques include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), PE (Prolonged Exposure Therapy) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, often resulting in substantial relief in under 12 sessions. She has extensive experience working with veterans, receiving numerous awards for her service to this population.  Brooke finds these methods also helpful for anyone who feels "stuck" or "unable to get past" a disturbing life event, or for those whose self-esteem has been deeply damaged from specific past experiences. If desired, Brooke will incorporate a Christian faith-based approach to help clients reach their individual and spiritual goals.

Emilie earned her degrees from USF Tampa and has worked in numerous levels of care to include residential treatment centers, in-home services, and outpatient practices.

Emilie is a past Board Member of the Suncoast Mental Healthy Counselors Association and a member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals. She also offers Qualified Licensure Supervision for State Registered Interns.

Nicole specializes in the treatment of individuals age 18 and over who struggle with addiction, grief, trauma, depression, and/or issues with anxiety.  She combines both cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapies to help clients improve their ability to manage difficult life stresses. Nicole is also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.)

Mario has worked in community mental health and inpatient treatment centers for nine years prior to entering private practice at our suite. He specializes in working with adolescents and adults who struggle with anger, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, family relationships, technology addiction, issues related to working in the healthcare & mental health fields, and traumatic life events. Mario is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.), an approach that can decrease and even resolve PTSD symptoms in as few as 1 - 2 sessions.
