"Informing Your Practice: What Happens When It's More Than Just ASD?"
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is estimated to affect approximately 1% of our country's population. In addition, people on the spectrum are significantly more likely to carry co-occurring diagnoses such as OCD, anxiety, and depressive disorders.
For the general mental health clinician. This presentation will increase participants' ability to recognize and assess the presence of ASD in their clients (both children & adults,) learn evidence-based modifications to treatment techniques, examine barriers to effective treatment, and identify resources in the general Tampa Bay community for clients & their families.
